The Prattville Municipal Court is dedicated to upholding justice with professionalism and fairness. The court follows the legal procedures established by the state legislature, ensuring accessibility and respect for all individuals while efficiently administering the law. This commitment to justice is reflected in their courteous approach and focus on dignity for everyone involved.
Starting January 22nd, all court proceedings will be relocated to the second floor of 124 W. Main Street due to renovations of the Chamber Council. The court offers various services, including ticket payment options, a list of fines, and guidelines for dress code and conduct. Additionally, individuals can request municipal court records as needed.
The court is led by Judge Louis C. Colley, appointed in November 2006, and Municipal Court Prosecutor Brad Ekdahl, also appointed in 2006. The court's administrative team includes Court Clerk III and Chief Magistrate Charlotte Griffith, along with Court Clerk II and Magistrate Terri Mathis. The Prattville Community Enrichment Center (PCEC), directed by Sandy Jaye, works closely with the court to support community initiatives. For those referred to the court through the Autauga/Elmore Court Referral Program, Melissa Smith Harrell serves as the Court Referral Officer (CRO).
With a focus on legal professionalism and community engagement, the Prattville Municipal Court ensures that justice is served with integrity and care.
