Miriam’s House is a compassionate, family-based sober living program in West Los Angeles that provides a safe, supportive home for women and their children as they rebuild their lives in recovery. Since opening in 2007, the program has helped more than 400 families achieve stability, healing, and independence. Dedicated to keeping families together, Miriam’s House offers a structured, year-long program designed for low-income mothers working toward sobriety, emotional wellness, and self-sufficiency.
At Miriam’s House, recovery goes beyond abstinence—it’s about helping women develop the life skills and confidence they need to thrive. Residents participate in a variety of services that may include parenting education, counseling, and anger management, empowering them to manage emotions in healthy ways and strengthen family relationships. Through comprehensive support, participants gain the tools to secure employment, pursue education, and transition into stable, independent housing.
The program also recognizes that recovery doesn’t end upon graduation. Miriam’s House continues to guide and support families to prevent relapse and ensure long-term success. By fostering an environment of respect, compassion, and accountability, Miriam’s House has become a haven for children escaping instability and mothers seeking peace, balance, and renewal.
Sustained by private donations and volunteers, Miriam’s House stands as a powerful example of community-driven recovery—restoring hope, empowering women, and giving families the opportunity to grow together in strength and stability.
