Riverside San Bernardino County Indian Health, Inc. (RSBCIHI) Behavioral Health Services (BHS) provides compassionate, confidential, and culturally competent care for Native American and Alaskan Native individuals and their families. The program offers a full spectrum of mental health and substance abuse services designed to promote healing and balance through respect for each person’s culture, strengths, and life experiences. BHS supports clients dealing with emotional challenges, addiction, trauma, and behavioral concerns through both in-person and telehealth appointments at multiple clinic locations, including Anza and Soboba.

Services include comprehensive assessments, outpatient counseling for adults, adolescents, and children, crisis intervention, and referrals for continuing care. BHS also integrates specialized programs such as Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) using Suboxone to address opioid addiction and DOJ Tribal Victim Services to assist survivors of violence through trauma-informed and culturally relevant counseling. Additional programs funded by SAMHSA and county partners focus on early intervention, family wellness, and community prevention—serving diverse populations including Native American, African American, and LGBTQ+ communities.

Through initiatives such as anger management, emotional regulation, and behavioral therapy, BHS helps individuals learn healthy coping strategies and restore harmony in their personal lives and relationships. The team, led by Dr. John Davis, combines clinical expertise with deep cultural understanding to provide care that is both effective and meaningful. Choosing RSBCIHI means choosing holistic behavioral health care rooted in cultural respect, community connection, and the belief that every individual has the capacity for recovery and renewal.
