Reclaiming Our Own Transcendence (RooT) is a transformative healing organization dedicated to breaking cycles of harm and nurturing personal and community accountability. Their work centers on addressing trauma and fostering liberation through education, collective healing, and restorative practices. RooT offers an array of programs designed to help individuals and groups process emotions, rebuild trust, and develop healthier ways of responding to conflict and anger. One of their signature offerings, “Anger Lab: Honoring the Embers,” provides participants with a supportive space to explore the roots of their anger, understand its purpose, and channel it toward constructive, compassionate action.

Other initiatives include the Healing Cycles of Harm Intensive, Liberatory Practice Space, and Recovery Circles, each aimed at strengthening emotional resilience and community repair. RooT’s approach integrates trauma-informed practices, mindfulness, and creative expression to help participants move beyond reactionary patterns and engage with themselves and others from a place of awareness and care.

Grounded in a vision to regenerate communities by releasing attachment to patterns of harm that perpetuate interpersonal and sexual violence, RooT places emphasis on healing for those most marginalized or excluded from traditional systems of support. Through ongoing alumni circles, workshops, and collective dialogue, RooT continues to foster growth, empathy, and transformation—empowering individuals to reclaim their emotional balance, manage anger with intention, and contribute to a culture of accountability and liberation.
