Kathy’s House is a faith-based residential recovery program that has been transforming lives since 1997 through compassion, structure, and spiritual renewal. Located in South Orange County, the organization provides a comprehensive one-year program that helps individuals break free from addiction, rebuild their lives, and rediscover their purpose. Services include counseling, life-skills development, mentorship, and emotional support, with a focus on addressing the root causes of destructive behaviors such as anger, addiction, and loss of direction. Residents are guided through a healing process that promotes emotional regulation and conflict resolution—key elements of effective anger management and long-term personal growth.

Unlike traditional rehabilitation centers, Kathy’s House operates entirely free of charge, supported by community donations and the Casa de Kathy thrift stores. The program is built around three structured phases: Decision, which focuses on detox and personal commitment; Reboot, which centers on counseling, rebuilding work ethic, and spiritual growth; and Integration, where residents prepare to reenter society with confidence, equipped with job training and life management skills. Separate homes serve both men and women—Zachary’s House for men and Rosie’s Place for women—each providing a safe and nurturing environment for transformation.

With nearly three decades of service, Kathy’s House has helped more than 800 individuals achieve sobriety, emotional healing, and lasting stability. Through mentorship, faith, and community support, participants learn not only to manage anger and addiction but to rebuild their identities with hope and purpose—emerging as confident, compassionate members of society.
