Waymakers is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals, families, and communities navigate conflict and crisis with compassion and purpose. Rooted in prevention and education, Waymakers builds safer, healthier communities by offering pathways to stability and personal growth. The organization supports youth offenders, victims of violence, and families in distress through programs that foster healing, resilience, and connection. Their mission is to clear the path so clients can move beyond crisis toward strength, safety, and self-sufficiency.

Waymakers’ counseling and family programs are designed to help youth and their families manage challenges related to the child welfare, juvenile justice, and mental health systems. These services emphasize the importance of positive communication, effective conflict resolution, and emotional regulation—key elements in reducing anger and building stronger relationships. By helping participants understand and manage anger in healthy ways, Waymakers empowers them to improve family interactions, strengthen peer and community connections, and develop lifelong coping skills.

Programs such as The Parent Project®, a nationally recognized 10-week virtual parenting workshop, teach parents proven strategies for working with difficult or defiant children. Participants gain practical tools to foster respect, accountability, and emotional control within the home.
