Family Central, Inc. (FCI) has been transforming lives across South Florida since its founding in 1973. Originally established to help working families access affordable childcare, FCI has evolved into a leading nonprofit organization offering a wide range of family and community support programs. With nearly five decades of experience, FCI now serves more than 18,000 children and their families each year through programs that focus on education, emotional wellness, and family stability.

At the heart of FCI’s mission is the belief that strong families build strong communities. Their Family Support Services provide counseling, skill-building, and guidance to help individuals and families overcome personal and emotional challenges, including stress and anger-related issues that can affect relationships and daily life. Through compassionate support and evidence-based interventions, FCI helps participants develop healthier coping mechanisms, improve communication, and restore balance within the home.

In addition to counseling and family programs, FCI operates Early Childhood Programs that promote school readiness, a Child Care Food Program serving over 250 childcare centers with nutritious meals, and a Training Academy that equips caregivers and educators with the tools to support children’s emotional and developmental growth.
