The Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center (FPJDC) is committed to helping at-risk youth and those involved in the juvenile justice system build positive futures through rehabilitation, education, and behavioral development. In partnership with the Tangipahoa Parish School System, certified teachers provide daily instruction in core academic subjects, ensuring that students continue their education while in detention. Classes are designed to mirror traditional school settings, complete with class rotations and summer programming to support ongoing learning and academic progress.

Beyond academics, FPJDC integrates evidence-based programs that address emotional regulation, personal responsibility, and behavioral change. These initiatives often include anger management training, helping youth understand and manage emotions in healthy ways, reduce impulsive behavior, and develop constructive coping strategies.
