SECURE Counseling is a licensed and bilingual mental health and substance abuse agency dedicated to helping individuals take control of their lives through evidence-based programs and compassionate support. As a LARA Licensed Substance Abuse Agency and certified Batterers’ Intervention provider through BISCMI, SECURE Counseling offers a wide range of services including anger management, substance abuse treatment, domestic violence intervention, and driver’s license restoration evaluations.

A highlight of SECURE Counseling’s offerings is its Anger Management Program, designed for both court-ordered and self-referred clients seeking to better understand and manage their emotions. The 12-week program begins with a comprehensive one-on-one assessment that evaluates factors such as truthfulness, emotional control, alcohol and drug use, and anger triggers. Participants learn how to identify when anger becomes harmful, develop healthier responses to frustration, and build effective communication skills. While this program is not for cases involving intimate partner violence, it provides valuable tools for those looking to reduce conflict, improve relationships, and regain balance in their lives.

In addition to anger management, SECURE Counseling provides intensive outpatient and relapse prevention programs to help individuals recover from addiction, as well as comprehensive assessments like the Domestic Violence Inventory (DVI) and Substance Abuse Assessment (SAA). With multiple locations across Southwest Michigan and a team of qualified professionals, SECURE Counseling empowers clients to be proactive in their healing process—offering a safe and structured path toward emotional wellness, accountability, and lasting personal change.
