BHEP Alliance

The Bellport, Hagerman, East Patchogue (BHEP) Alliance, Inc. is a nonprofit community service organization dedicated to empowering families, strengthening neighborhoods, and creating lasting opportunities for residents in Suffolk County. Founded in 1979, BHEP Alliance has been a driving force in improving quality of life through affordable housing, homeownership education, and vital community support services. Their programs help individuals overcome financial, emotional, and social challenges by providing tools and resources that promote stability, self-sufficiency, and growth.

Among its diverse community programs, BHEP Alliance offers a 10-week Anger Management Program designed to help individuals understand and manage anger in healthy, constructive ways. This program focuses on building positive communication skills, emotional awareness, and strategies for conflict resolution, enabling participants to form stronger and more supportive relationships at home, work, and within the community.

In addition to anger management, the organization provides comprehensive housing counseling, foreclosure prevention, and first-time homebuyer seminars to promote financial literacy and sustainable homeownership. Other key initiatives include utility assistance, employment and public assistance resources, senior support groups, and youth-focused programs such as the Butterfly Effect Project, which empowers girls ages 5–17 to build self-confidence and leadership skills.

Through compassion, education, and collaboration, the BHEP Alliance continues to nurture hope and progress across the Bellport, Hagerman, and East Patchogue areas—helping individuals and families transform their lives and communities for the better.
