Rio Salado Behavioral Health Systems, Inc. (Rio BHS) is an Arizona-based non-profit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt community agency. Licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services, Office of Behavioral Health Licensure, Rio BHS offers a range of outpatient services including Title XIX/XXI, Child/Adolescent, Adults, and Elderly Services. Their comprehensive outpatient treatment services encompass individual, group, and family counseling, behavioral management, assessments, evaluations, diagnoses, home-based counseling, DUI alcohol services, and court-ordered misdemeanor domestic violence offender treatment programs. Additionally, they provide medication monitoring and adjustment as part of their continuum of care.

Rio BHS is committed to developing community-based programs for youth and their families, particularly those dealing with substance abuse, behavioral, or mental health issues. They also focus on creating programs to assist families and children with limited English proficiency in accessing treatment and health promotion services.

In collaboration with courts, city/town managers, councils, law enforcement, other community agencies, residents, and private businesses, Rio BHS aims to make a significant impact on Latino youth and families in Maricopa County. The organization continuously strengthens its infrastructure to better serve the community, expanding its service delivery capacity.

Rio BHS offers DUI alcohol and substance abuse education in both English and Spanish. Screenings are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with evening and weekend appointments by request. These screenings, conducted in person or via Zoom, last between 30 minutes and three hours. While screenings are held at their Camelback location, education classes are provided online.

By leveraging community support and enhancing its resources, Rio Salado Behavioral Health Systems strives to meet the behavioral health needs of children and families in Maricopa County effectively.
