Welcome to Calming Waters Counseling! I'm thrilled to have you here. With over 18 years of experience in social services within the Lake Havasu City and Parker, Arizona area, my journey has been dedicated to helping individuals heal, energize, and discover their inner strengths.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Northern Arizona University, where I graduated in 1997. Initially working with the developmentally disabled in group and day treatment programs, I soon returned to Lake Havasu City and began my career as a juvenile probation officer. However, I realized my true calling lay elsewhere, leading me to a role as a case manager for the Seriously Mentally Ill at a local community mental health clinic.
Inspired by the therapists I worked alongside, I pursued a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Arizona, graduating with honors and a 4.0 GPA in 2009. Following this, I worked with the State of Arizona's Vocational Rehabilitation program, focusing on individuals with psychiatric illnesses.
My dedication to helping others propelled me to achieve Arizona licensure as a Licensed Associate Counselor, and eventually, I earned my Licensed Independent Counselor (LPC) license. At Calming Waters Counseling, I am committed to supporting you on your journey to where you want to be in life.
