Substance Abuse Counseling and DUI Services
At Real Life Therapy Services, our mission is to provide "real counseling for real people," recognizing that life’s challenges and poor decisions sometimes require expert guidance to get back on track. Founded in January 2015, our agency offers compassionate support to individuals navigating difficult times, with services available beyond traditional work hours to accommodate busy schedules.
Our DUI Education program is conducted over two consecutive 8-hour days in a classroom setting, covering essential topics such as the physiological and psychological effects of substance use, the impact on driving ability, and criminal penalties associated with DUI offenses. A pre-test and post-test assess client knowledge before and after the program.
DUI Treatment involves group counseling sessions lasting a minimum of 90 minutes, totaling at least 20 hours. Self-help group participation is not a substitute for this treatment, and progress reports are provided to the referring agency. Clients receive a serialized certificate upon completion.
For DUI Screening and Evaluation, clients participate in a 30-45 minute face-to-face interview, with no urine or blood tests required. This screening assesses the need for further services based on a detailed evaluation of the client’s situation, alcohol/drug use history, and court requirements. Recommendations may include Level I or Level II DUI services, with all results documented and provided to the court.
Out-of-state screenings may involve additional steps and fees. Real Life Therapy Services is committed to assisting clients throughout the DUI process, offering support and guidance even if they choose to continue services elsewhere.
