The Southern Arizona Psychology Internship Center (SAPIC), an APA-accredited program, is entering its 21st year of operation and its 18th year of accreditation. Established to offer interns a premier learning experience in a managed health care community behavioral healthcare environment, SAPIC provides top-tier training within La Frontera Center, Inc., and the University of Arizona’s Strategic Alternative Learning Techniques (SALT) Center. La Frontera Center, Inc. serves around 10,000 underserved and culturally diverse clients, while the SALT Center offers services to over 500 UA students with learning disabilities.
SAPIC's program enables interns to enhance their psychotherapeutic and assessment skills with a diverse clientele, spanning various ages and community settings. Interns work alongside professionals from multiple disciplines, gaining experience that prepares them for the competitive and evolving behavioral health market. SAPIC and its host organizations emphasize and celebrate diversity, encouraging applicants who value and wish to contribute to an inclusive environment.
