Partners4Wellness, formerly known as NCADD-OC, offers a certified Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Program for individuals convicted of DUI in California. Recognized by the State of California and the County of Orange, Partners4Wellness is one of the few non-profit organizations providing this service, boasting over 50 years of experience in alcohol education and prevention within the Orange County community. With locations in Irvine and Santa Ana, the program features open enrollment, DMV electronic filing, and convenient scheduling.
Upon a DUI conviction, individuals must enroll in a DUI School within a specific timeframe to avoid further legal consequences. Enrollment appointments are necessary, and failure to enroll may result in an arrest warrant. Even if not court-ordered, the DMV may require program completion to reinstate a driver's license. First-time offenders can qualify for a restricted license within 60 days of their ticket by enrolling in the program, providing proof of financial responsibility, and paying a reissue fee. Partners4Wellness submits the enrollment form to the DMV on the same day, assisting with the SR-22 form and Ignition Interlock Device if needed.
For multiple offenders, the DMV suspends licenses for one year, with eligibility for an ignition interlock license upon court conviction and enrollment in a Multiple Offender Program within 90 days. Enrollment requires specific documents, including court referral paperwork, DMV forms, a photo ID, and a completed enrollment form, along with a $99 enrollment fee. Partners4Wellness handles the notification process to both the court and DMV.
The California DUI school program includes group and individual counseling, as well as education on DUI laws, drug abuse, and problematic drinking through lectures, videos, and discussions. Participants are expected to maintain sobriety throughout the program, with strict policies on disruptive behavior and substance use during classes. Enrollment is available daily, including Saturdays, with appointments recommended for both Irvine and Santa Ana locations.
