Find your local Florida State-Certified DUI Program, overseen by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV). Florida DUI programs are non-profit organizations mandated to provide drug and alcohol education to DUI offenders in accordance with judicial and driver licensing requirements.

Under Chapter 15A-10, F.A.C., FLHSMV provides administrative oversight, certifies instructors, investigates complaints, and evaluates the effectiveness of these programs. The two educational courses offered in Florida are:

  • Level I DUI Course: This course is intended for first-time DUI offenders and includes a minimum of 12 hours of classroom instruction. The curriculum uses informative and interactive educational techniques to help participants understand the consequences of impaired driving and develop strategies for making safer choices.
  • Level II DUI Course: Designed for individuals with multiple DUI offenses, this course involves at least 21 hours of classroom time in a group setting with no more than 15 students. The Level II program is more intensive, focusing on repeat offenders and preparing them for potential treatment. Most participants in the Level II course are referred to a Department of Children and Families (DCF)-licensed treatment provider for further counseling.*

By enrolling in a Florida-certified DUI program, you ensure that your participation will meet court and FLHSMV requirements for license reinstatement. Explore our directory to find a program near you and start working toward fulfilling your legal obligations and making positive changes.
