The Georgia DUI Group offers a comprehensive 20-hour DUI School/Risk Reduction Program designed to educate individuals facing DUI or DWI charges, reckless driving tickets, license suspensions, and other related issues. This program utilizes the Prime for Life curriculum and is mandatory for various circumstances, including drug possession and minor possession of drugs or alcohol.
To participate, individuals must first complete a mandatory Assessment/NEEDS Survey, which consists of 130 questions about personal lifestyle and takes approximately 30-45 minutes. This initial step incurs a fee of $100, set by state law, with payment options including cash, money orders, and electronic payment methods.
Following the assessment, participants must attend the 20-hour classroom course, available weekly. The program is offered both on weekends and weekdays, with scheduled breaks and lunch periods included. Currently, classes are held virtually via Zoom, allowing easy access from various devices. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate, available either via email or as a physical copy from the main office.
Registration for the program must be completed 24 hours prior to the class start time, with a total program cost of $360, encompassing the assessment, intervention fees, and workbook costs. All fees are established by the Department of Driver Services and are non-refundable. Participants can register online, ensuring they receive a confirmation email followed by further instructions to complete their registration.
