Safety 1st of Georgia is a state-certified provider of the Risk Reduction Program and DUI Class, essential for individuals charged with DUI, BUI, drug offenses, or underage alcohol and drug possession in Georgia. Participation in this program is a requirement for driver’s license reinstatement as mandated by the Department of Driver Services (DDS). The comprehensive program consists of two main components, with a total cost of $360 set by state law.

The first step is the DUI/Risk Reduction Assessment, which involves a 130-question evaluation related to personal and lifestyle habits. This assessment takes approximately 30-40 minutes to complete and costs $100. It is crucial for participants to complete this assessment at least two hours before the DUI class begins, which can be done during regular business hours or by appointment.

Following the assessment, participants must attend a 20-hour DUI/Risk Reduction Class, costing $260. The class is designed to be interactive, focusing on prevention techniques and promoting a healthy lifestyle to help avoid high-risk behaviors. Attendance at every session is mandatory, as state regulations prohibit late admissions. To ensure promptness, students are encouraged to arrive 10-15 minutes early. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a DDS certificate. Registration is available online or in person, and payments can be made via cash, money order, debit card, or credit card, although exact cash is required.
