The Risk Reduction Class offers comprehensive DUI education aimed at individuals charged with alcohol and drug offenses. Classes are held on weekends from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM and on Monday evenings from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with scheduled breaks and a lunch period on weekends. Participants must complete the sessions consecutively to fulfill program requirements. The upcoming class dates span from June 2019 through April 2020, allowing flexibility for individuals to choose a suitable schedule.
Before enrolling in the classes, participants are required to undergo an assessment, which can be completed during regular office hours or by appointment, including after-hours options for those with daytime commitments. It is essential for attendees to read their registration contract thoroughly to understand all program rules and expectations. The program adheres to state regulations, with fees established by Georgia law: a $100 assessment fee, a $235 fee for the 20-hour class, and a $25 charge for the required textbook, totaling $360.
This Risk Reduction program is state-licensed and focuses on promoting responsible behavior to reduce the likelihood of future offenses. By participating in this educational initiative, individuals not only meet legal requirements but also gain valuable insights into substance use and its effects.
