The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Center is designed to support individuals with mood and anxiety disorders by promoting active participation in their recovery journey. This flexible treatment program accommodates patients' daily responsibilities such as work, school, or childcare, allowing them to return home each evening. Patients engage in treatment up to four days a week, totaling up to 10 hours per week, which includes individual therapy, family therapy, and group sessions.

The IOP utilizes a range of therapeutic interventions including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and family-centered treatment. The program focuses on essential recovery principles such as psychological flexibility, mindfulness, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. These elements are integrated into the curriculum to help patients develop valuable skills and strategies for managing their symptoms and improving their overall well-being.

The IOP serves as both a transitional step-down level of care for individuals moving from more intensive residential or partial hospitalization programs and as a direct admit level of care for those needing higher support within an outpatient setting. This approach ensures that patients can remain engaged with their everyday lives while receiving the necessary treatment to support their mental health recovery.
