The Ben Gordon Center (BGC) has been a cornerstone of mental health and substance abuse treatment in DeKalb County since 1968. With four locations, including the main site on Health Services Drive, BGC has grown to meet the evolving needs of the community. The center boasts a team of nearly 40 licensed and certified counselors and therapists who offer a wide range of services for individuals, couples, and families, including specialized care for women, children, and adolescents.
BGC's comprehensive approach ensures convenience and cost-effective care, with services available to government, corporate, and managed care clients. The center accepts most medical insurance and works with numerous managed care companies, filing health insurance claims as a professional courtesy. For those in financial need, a sliding fee scale is available, supported by various government funding sources.
The clinical team at BGC includes consultations with three psychiatrists, supported by registered psychiatric nurses who assist with appointments and medication management. BGC upholds a strict confidentiality policy, ensuring that all client information is protected and only disclosed with written consent or in situations required by law, such as life-threatening circumstances.
