At ABBCON, we stand out with our distinctive approach to addressing substance-related issues through "Root Cause Analysis and Demand Reduction Strategies." We recognize that substance use problems often stem from a variety of underlying factors, such as trauma, depression, anxiety, loneliness, or a lack of self-worth. By identifying and addressing these root causes, we aim to naturally reduce problematic substance use through effective demand reduction strategies.

Our philosophy sets us apart from many treatment providers. Unlike others, we do not mandate abstinence from legal or prescribed substances or require 12-step programs for all clients. Instead, we focus on personal accountability, self-care, self-management techniques, boundary setting, harm reduction, and positive reinforcement. This approach allows for greater flexibility and supports a more individualized treatment plan.

At ABBCON, clients engage in both individual and group sessions, which can be conducted in person or via telehealth. While initial intake sessions are held in person, subsequent individual sessions may be conducted through either format, with group sessions currently offered only through telehealth.

We also cater to clients who are court-ordered for treatment. We ensure that these clients receive the same high-quality care as those who come to us voluntarily. Upon admission, we determine a recommended number of service hours and communicate this to the court. Clients are discharged upon making appropriate progress, with the option to continue working with us voluntarily, should they choose to do so.
