In Illinois, DUI offenses encompass all forms of impaired driving, including alcohol and drug-related impairment. Galena Clinic specializes in providing treatment for individuals who have lost their driving privileges due to such offenses. The clinic is accredited by the State of Illinois Division of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse (DASA) to offer tailored interventions based on DUI evaluations conducted by the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office.
Treatment levels are categorized by risk:
- Minimal Risk: Requires at least 10 hours of DUI Risk Education.
- Moderate Risk: Involves 10 hours of Risk Education plus 12 hours of early intervention counseling.
- Significant Risk: Mandates 10 hours of Risk Education and 20 hours of substance abuse treatment, with ongoing participation in a continuing care plan.
- High Risk: Entails 75 hours of substance abuse treatment and adherence to a continuing care plan post-discharge.
Galena Clinic's staff are all licensed or certified substance abuse clinicians. Fees are determined based on the DUI risk level and are negotiated with each client. The clinic also offers aftercare services to ensure compliance with continuing care plans as needed.
