Women’s Residential Services (WRS) is a specialized residential program dedicated to supporting women with substance use disorders. Located in Vernon Hills, Illinois, WRS offers a safe and structured environment designed to help women with complex needs embark on their recovery journey. The program provides intensive Dual Diagnosis Enhanced treatment and robust recovery support structures, all delivered with compassion and respect by a dedicated staff.

The services offered include individual, group, and family counseling, case management, medical and psychiatric care, peer support, and educational programs. Clients receive training in various health and wellness topics such as relapse prevention, trauma-informed care, and social thinking skills. Family involvement is also a key component, with support for strengthening the mother-child bond through scheduled visitations.

Eligibility for WRS requires women to be at least 18 years old, residents of Illinois, and diagnosed with a substance use disorder that necessitates residential treatment. Participants must be capable of self-care and willing to engage fully in the program. A phone and health screening are part of the admission process.

WRS accepts various insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicare, and offers reduced fees based on eligibility. Importantly, the program ensures that no woman is denied services due to an inability to pay. Operating 24/7, WRS is committed to providing continuous support and care to its clients.
