The Addictions Treatment Program (ATP) is a comprehensive residential treatment option designed for individuals struggling with substance use disorders. The program caters to clients with complex needs, providing a secure and structured environment that supports stabilization and rehabilitation. The length of stay is individualized, determined by ongoing assessments to ensure appropriate care.
ATP offers a range of services aimed at fostering recovery, including individual, group, and family counseling, case management, and both medical and psychiatric services. Peer support is also an integral part of the program, enhancing the recovery process. The program focuses on various aspects of treatment, such as relapse prevention, anger management, seeking safety, enhancing motivation, interpersonal and life skills, psychoeducation, and expressive arts.
Eligibility for ATP requires clients to be at least 18 years old, residents of Illinois, and diagnosed with a primary substance use disorder. Clients must exhibit clinical symptoms that necessitate residential-level treatment, demonstrate the capability for self-care, and show a willingness to engage in all aspects of treatment. A phone and health screening must be completed to participate.
ATP accepts most Medicaid plans and offers discounted fees for qualifying clients. Importantly, the program does not deny services based on an individual’s ability to pay, ensuring that financial constraints do not prevent access to necessary care.
