Addiction continues to be a growing concern despite the expanding array of treatment options. Opioid use disorder (OUD), commonly known as opioid addiction, has become particularly alarming, with overdose deaths reaching epidemic levels. The misuse of prescription pain medications, along with the rising use of heroin and fentanyl, has created a severe public health crisis in the United States.
According to reports from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in 2020, approximately 187 Americans die daily from opioid overdoses. Additionally, 11.5 million people misused opioids, nearly one million tried heroin at least once, and opioids were involved in 74.8% of drug overdose deaths.
To combat this crisis, FDA-approved Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) offers effective outpatient options for managing opioid use disorder. Our treatment centers provide all three FDA-approved medications: methadone, buprenorphine/Suboxone, and naltrexone/Vivitrol. These medications are administered in various settings to address OUD. In addition, medically-supervised withdrawal management, or detoxification, is available both inpatient and outpatient, utilizing several effective medications to stabilize patients.
Our comprehensive approach ensures that patients have access to a range of proven treatment options and can work closely with medical providers to find the most suitable program for their needs.
