If you’ve been arrested for a DUI offense, you will need to complete a DUI Evaluation, which typically lasts about one hour. This evaluation can be conducted in-person at our Joliet office or virtually via Zoom with a licensed evaluator. The evaluation determines your risk level according to the criteria set by the Illinois Secretary of State, Courts, and the Illinois Department of Human Services.

Based on your risk classification, you will be required to complete a specific number of DUI Risk Education hours and, if necessary, substance abuse treatment. For a minimum risk classification (Level I), you will need to attend 10 hours of DUI Risk Education. Moderate risk (Level II) involves 10 hours of Risk Education plus 12 hours of Early Intervention. Significant risk (also Level II) includes 10 hours of Risk Education, 20 hours of Substance Abuse Treatment, and a Continuing Care program. High risk (Level III) requires 75 hours of Substance Abuse Treatment and a Continuing Care program.

Our DUI Risk Education classes, which provide essential information about the effects of alcohol and drugs, are available virtually during the week and on weekends. For those who need additional treatment, we offer virtual Substance Abuse Treatment sessions tailored to your risk level.

Following treatment, Continuing Care is necessary to help maintain positive changes and prevent future incidents. We also provide updates and evaluations for the Secretary of State, which may be required for license reinstatement or if your driver's license has been revoked or restricted due to multiple DUIs or other related issues.
