The Will County Health Department offers comprehensive outpatient mental health and substance use treatment services designed to support adults experiencing serious mental illness and substance use disorders. The Adult Outpatient Mental Health Program focuses on stabilizing individuals and enhancing their life functioning across various critical areas such as physical, emotional, and social aspects. Services provided include comprehensive assessments, personalized care plans, safety and discharge transition planning, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and case management. The program is staffed by licensed professionals, including counselors, social workers, psychologists, and case managers.
The Substance Use Treatment and Recovery Services aim to help individuals achieve their full potential by offering flexible treatment options that allow them to live at home while receiving care. Eligible adults over 18, including those with Medicaid, private insurance, or no insurance, can access these services. The program includes intensive outpatient and standard outpatient treatments, peer support services, and medication-assisted recovery options. The Intensive Outpatient Program provides up to nine hours of counseling per week, while the Outpatient Program offers less intensive care tailored to individual needs. Certified peer support professionals and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) using medications like buprenorphine and naltrexone are also available to enhance recovery outcomes. These integrated services provide a holistic approach to treating substance use disorders, supporting clients in their journey towards sustained recovery.
