Morgan County Court Services – Adult Probation and ADAPT Program

Morgan County Court Services provides Adult Probation to support post-sentence clients through supervision, case planning, referrals for services, and drug testing. In some cases, they also offer pre-sentence supervision and reporting for the Court. A key part of their work is the ADAPT Program, designed to improve the lives of offenders and their families, enhance public safety by reducing substance-related criminal activity, and encourage long-term behavioral change through evidence-based practices.

The ADAPT Program helps distinguish between problem and non-problem substance users and tailors services to meet individual needs. Following an alcohol and drug assessment with a probation officer, clients receive recommendations for services such as DUI education classes, treatment programs, group or individual counseling, detoxification, family therapy, or relapse prevention. Clients work collaboratively with their probation officer to develop an Individual Service Contract outlining required steps and services. Full compliance with these requirements, including payment of all program and service fees, is necessary for successful completion of probation.

DUI education and information classes are a prominent feature of the ADAPT Program, offering individuals the tools to understand the risks and consequences of substance use and make informed choices. Fees for these classes range from $100 to $150, and additional costs may apply for assessments, drug testing, or treatment through external providers. The program’s holistic approach ensures clients receive the support needed to foster positive change while fulfilling legal obligations.

Failure to meet program requirements may result in referral back to the Court for further action. By prioritizing rehabilitation and accountability, Morgan County’s ADAPT Program plays a vital role in promoting safety and personal growth within the community.
