Porter County Alcohol & Drug Offender Services (PCADOS)
Porter County Alcohol & Drug Offender Services (PCADOS) offers certified alcohol and drug education and case management services for adults referred by the court system due to drug or alcohol-related offenses. Certified through the Indiana Office of Court Services, PCADOS provides a structured program designed to address substance use issues and promote accountability. Services include assessments, case management, and three tiers of educational classes tailored to meet individual needs. The program offers both basic and advanced educational services, ensuring participants receive the appropriate level of support to address their behavior and make meaningful changes.
In addition, PCADOS facilitates a Victim Impact Panel (VIP), an impactful program featuring speakers who have been directly affected by drunk driving incidents. Participants gain a deeper understanding of the consequences of impaired driving by hearing firsthand accounts from victims or their loved ones. VIP sessions are held virtually and are open to individuals convicted of alcohol-related offenses. Registration is required in advance through the VIP Coordinator, and classes are scheduled monthly.
PCADOS provides an accessible and effective pathway for individuals to meet court-mandated requirements while fostering a commitment to personal growth and community safety. Whether attending educational classes or the VIP, participants receive valuable insights into the impact of substance use and impaired driving, equipping them with tools to make better choices moving forward.
