Our Place offers a variety of services designed to address substance use and its impact on individuals and families, with a particular focus on DUI-related programs and early intervention. One of the core offerings is substance abuse assessments, which include screenings, client history reviews, and urine drug screens. This stand-alone service is vital for understanding the scope of a client’s substance use and is included at no extra cost for those enrolled in the Early Intervention or Outpatient programs.
For those seeking education and awareness, Our Place provides community-based presentations and training tailored to specific needs. Topics range from the impact of substance abuse on families to in-service training for businesses and organizations, including trauma-informed care and the 40 Developmental Assets framework.
The Early Intervention Program is a cornerstone service for individuals and families facing challenges with alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs (ATODs). This program consists of ten weekly sessions designed for youths, adults, and their families, with group formats tailored to specific demographics, including diversion or probation referrals. Participants engage in a variety of activities such as group discussions, role-play, and self-assessments, covering topics like addiction stages, stress management, anger management, and family dynamics. Referrals are accepted from a wide range of sources, including courts, probation departments, schools, and self-referrals. Family involvement is strongly encouraged, with fees based on a sliding scale to ensure accessibility.
By combining education, assessment, and intervention, Our Place equips individuals with tools to navigate the challenges of substance use and fosters healthier families and communities.
