The Iowa Course for Drinking Drivers is a 12-hour program authorized by the State of Iowa to help individuals who have violated drinking and driving laws. The course takes place in a supportive, non-threatening environment designed to encourage participants to reflect on their drinking behaviors and develop a sense of responsibility as both drivers and citizens. This course fulfills the requirements for individuals ordered by the court following a drinking-related violation. The class is conducted online via Zoom, and participants must have access to a smartphone, tablet, or computer with both internet and audio/video capabilities. To attend, students are required to pick up a Drinking Driver Packet from a designated location. A Zoom link for the class will be sent via email 1–2 days prior to the session. This program is an essential step for those looking to meet court obligations and work toward becoming more responsible drivers.
