The Drinker Driver (DUI-OWI) class is designed for individuals convicted of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The course offers the latest research on alcohol and drug effects, helping participants understand how these substances impair their ability to drive. Emphasizing impairment, social attitudes, self-evaluation, and alternative behaviors, the class meets the requirements for a 12-hour Driving Under the Influence (DUI) course as outlined by Iowa Code 321J.17(2a) and 321J(2a4). The class is held on both Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, and participants are encouraged to bring a lunch or money for vending machines, as the course continues through lunchtime. Participants are asked to bring their court case number to class for registration.
