Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS) is a skill-based program funded by Iowa Medicaid, aimed at helping youth and their families through intensive skill development. This service involves a caseworker working individually with the family to address behavioral issues and promote positive behaviors. Similarly, Brief Intensive Services (BIS) offers flexible support to families, providing skill-building tools to address behavioral challenges. Aftercare and Preparation for Adult Living (PAL) services assist youth transitioning from foster care to independence by teaching them essential life skills, such as financial management and job readiness. The Pediatric Integrated Health Program (PIHP) coordinates care for individuals facing mental health challenges, offering support for both youth and adults, in collaboration with community providers. For those experiencing life transitions, Community Counseling provides individual and family therapy to help navigate difficulties. The Tracking and Monitoring program supports youth by providing intensive guidance and ensuring accountability, while the Enhanced Monitoring and Outreach Program focuses on at-risk youth and their families involved with Juvenile Court Services. Lastly, the Community Service and Restitution Program offers supervision and work opportunities for youth fulfilling community service or restitution hours mandated by the Juvenile Court Officer. These services work collectively to foster positive development, support families, and guide youth through critical life changes.
