New Opportunities, Inc. offers a comprehensive OWI (Operating While Intoxicated) evaluation, which includes two testing instruments, collateral information, counselor-client interviews, and drug/alcohol testing. The evaluation process meets all state-mandated documentation requirements. In addition to evaluations, the center provides a range of services designed to support individuals dealing with substance abuse. These services include individual and group counseling, family counseling, referrals, drug/alcohol testing, continuing care, and education on tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs.

The center also offers a DOT-approved, 12-hour OWI course for individuals who have been charged with OWI in Iowa. This research-based course provides participants with the information and support needed to explore new beliefs and behaviors, without moralizing or judgment. The course is taught by certified instructors and meets the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) and Department of Education requirements. To successfully complete the program, participants must attend all 12 hours, and upon completion, their information will be sent electronically to the DOT. The course costs $180, which includes a student manual.

All services are delivered by licensed, certified staff in a confidential setting, ensuring a professional and supportive environment. The program is available for anyone seeking help or information related to OWI evaluations and education, with a focus on helping individuals take proactive steps toward recovery and personal growth.
