Clearview Recovery's Women and Children's Program was established to address the need for a treatment facility in Polk and Jasper counties where women could bring their children while receiving care for substance abuse. Prior to this, many women had to leave the area to access such services, which often impacted their ability to maintain family connections. This program was created in response to concerns from local judges, who indicated they would consider reuniting families or delaying parental rights termination if such a treatment option existed.

The program focuses on providing gender-specific care for women, particularly single and divorced mothers, who face unique challenges when entering treatment. Many participants come from backgrounds of limited education or skills, making recovery even more difficult. The primary goal is to help women enter a strong recovery process by providing resources such as parenting classes, job training, and self-esteem building. For many, the motivation to recover stems from their desire to regain or maintain custody of their children.

Clearview Recovery offers flexible programming with varying lengths of stay and levels of care, ensuring individualized treatment. The program includes traditional treatment components as well as additional support tailored to women and single mothers. Family involvement and regular participation in 12-step programs are encouraged to help women continue their recovery after treatment, providing a solid foundation for long-term success.
