At UCS Healthcare, outpatient therapy services play a critical role in our comprehensive treatment approach. These services are designed to help individuals address the underlying causes of substance use disorders and addiction. Our therapy team works closely with each patient to create a personalized recovery plan, offering both individual and group therapy sessions. These sessions cover a wide range of topics and provide support for those seeking to make lasting changes in their lives.
Substance use disorder assessments are available at our West Des Moines, Ankeny, and Knoxville locations, with walk-in hours Monday through Friday. During the intake process, individuals complete a brief questionnaire, and the assessment typically takes around 20 minutes. Patients are asked to bring their insurance card and the most recent pay stub to the appointment.
In addition to individual assessments, UCS also offers group therapy sessions, with schedules varying by location. To ensure easy access, sessions are available both in person and online via Zoom, with participants receiving log-in details from their counselor. As these sessions may be subject to change, we encourage individuals to contact their counselor or visit the location page for up-to-date information.
