YSS is dedicated to empowering youth by providing a comprehensive range of services that promote education, counseling, and stability. Our goal is to create a continuum of care, offering youth the tools they need to succeed throughout their lives. Our Ember Recovery program provides residential treatment for youth struggling with substance use disorders, while our YSS Kids Club offers fun and engaging care for elementary-aged children before and after school, as well as during the summer. We also offer counseling services for individuals of all ages, utilizing a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to meet their needs. For those in immediate crisis, we provide short-term stabilization care for youth experiencing acute mental health, behavioral health, or substance use challenges. Our emergency shelters provide a safe haven for youth in crisis, offering essential resources such as food, clothing, and hygiene items. Additionally, YSS advocates for current and former foster care youth, helping them with ongoing support and aftercare. We assist at-risk and homeless youth through drop-in services, street outreach, and daily meals. Our Mentoring program fosters positive relationships through school-based and community-based initiatives, while our Post-Secondary Education Retention program helps young adults achieve their education goals through tutoring, job assistance, and financial planning. YSS also offers mental health and wellness education, focusing on mental health awareness and suicide prevention. Our prevention programs teach kids how to make healthy choices, and our supportive housing programs provide rental assistance and individualized support for homeless young adults.
