SIMHC began offering substance abuse services in November 2018, providing treatment to youth (12 and older) and adults struggling with substance use disorders. Their goal is to deliver quality, cost-effective, and comprehensive behavioral health care through a multidisciplinary approach. Services include a thorough substance abuse evaluation with a certified counselor, using ASAM criteria to assess clinical needs and provide treatment recommendations.

The Intensive Outpatient and Extended Outpatient programs offer both individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on education, journaling interventions, and the development of coping skills to help patients manage their addiction and its effects on daily life. Individual counseling is also available, where patients work one-on-one with a counselor to address underlying issues contributing to their substance use and create a personalized treatment plan.

Aftercare services are offered to help individuals maintain their progress after completing treatment, including continued group and individual sessions to support abstinence and improve overall quality of life. Additionally, SIMHC provides OWI evaluations for those required by court or legal obligations. These evaluations are easily scheduled, and participants are not required to be current patients of the center.

SIMHC’s comprehensive substance abuse services are designed to assist individuals in overcoming addiction and achieving lasting recovery.
