Courage Center Llc

The Courage Center is a locally owned small business dedicated to supporting individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. As a peer-run organization, we focus on meeting our community members where they are in their journey and guiding them toward the recovery program that best suits their needs. We strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment, operating our office like a community center. Participants have access to free food, a spacious recreational room, mailboxes, and occasional childcare. We accept a variety of insurance plans, including MaineCare.

We offer a range of services designed to support individuals throughout their recovery process. Our Driver Education & Evaluation Program (DEEP) helps participants fulfill legal requirements and provides essential education. The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers structured treatment for those needing more intensive support while maintaining their daily responsibilities. For individuals requiring medical assistance, our Medical Care for People with Substance Use Disorder (MAT+) provides comprehensive care, including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). Additionally, we offer Recovery Housing at The Courage House, located just up the street, providing a safe and supportive living environment for those in early recovery.
