Grace Medical Center offers an accredited outpatient substance use disorder treatment program designed to support individuals struggling with addiction. This comprehensive program is certified by the State of Maryland and the Joint Commission, ensuring high-quality care for patients aged 18 and older diagnosed with opioid or substance use disorders. Priority admission is given to those who are IV drug users, HIV positive, or pregnant. The program includes a variety of services, including pharmacotherapy for opioid addiction, individual and group therapy (offered in different formats such as intensive outpatient, standard, and gender-specific groups), and relapse prevention. Additionally, patients have access to overdose prevention education, tobacco cessation programs, and family counseling.
As part of a holistic approach to recovery, the program also provides primary medical care for managing chronic conditions like hypertension and diabetes, as well as vaccinations and women’s health services. Mental health screenings and referrals are available to ensure comprehensive care. For those in need of additional support, Peer Recovery Support Services are offered on-site, alongside Department of Public Safety assessments and education for DUI/DWI offenders. Grace Medical Center’s program is designed to help patients achieve lasting recovery, with an emphasis on both substance abuse treatment and overall well-being.
