The Massachusetts Impaired Driving Program is a DPH certified 16-week program designed for first-time offenders. It includes an intake, an evaluation, weekly 2-hour group sessions, and an exit interview. The program offers co-ed groups in both English and Spanish, with sessions held weekly in Springfield. Participants are required to pay an established fee, though court waivers are also accepted. The program operates on an ongoing basis, welcoming walk-ins with no waiting list.
In addition to impaired driving services, the program provides a range of substance use and recovery services. These include recovery coaching, access to peer recovery centers, and long-term residential treatment options. The program supports individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions, offering specialized care for men, women, and young adults.
