At Mount Auburn Hospital, the Prevention and Recovery Center provides comprehensive addiction recovery services for adults over the age of 18. The center offers specialized treatment for a range of addiction-related issues, including alcohol and drug use, as well as compulsive gambling. Recognizing that addiction is a complex and personal health concern, the center tailors its approach to meet the unique needs of each individual. Through an initial intake session, licensed therapists develop personalized treatment plans that may include group therapy, individual counseling, and medication evaluation and monitoring.

In addition to direct treatment, the center offers support for families, employers, social service agencies, and physicians, helping to address the broader impact of addiction. They assist these groups with guidance, education, and the development of community support systems to better manage the effects of addiction.

Mount Auburn Hospital’s addiction recovery team is committed to offering care that also addresses other conditions that often accompany addiction, such as anger management, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and co-dependency. The hospital provides additional services such as relapse prevention, smoking cessation, and access to behavioral health, emergency care, and primary care to support recovery. The goal of the Prevention and Recovery Center is to help individuals and communities affected by addiction find lasting recovery and healing.
