Great Lakes Recovery Centers (GLRC) offers a range of outpatient services across the Upper Peninsula, designed to support individuals in their recovery journey. These services begin with an assessment by a trained clinician, who helps determine the most relevant treatment options, including individual and group therapy. Clients may also be referred for detox services or residential treatment if needed.
GLRC provides comprehensive Substance Use Disorder (SUD) services, such as assessments, individual counseling, and links to community resources like Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous. Specific services are available for women and families, and court and DMV assessments are also offered.
Mental health services are available for adults, adolescents, and children, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, relationship conflicts, and educational or behavioral challenges.
Weekly group therapy sessions and support meetings, including AA and NA, are held at many GLRC outpatient locations. Peer recovery coaching, a non-clinical service that complements professional treatment, is also available to improve engagement and reduce the risk of relapse.
Specialized Women and Family Services in Marquette and Chippewa Counties provide case management for housing, legal, financial, medical, and educational needs. This program also offers financial assistance for essentials like diapers and gas cards.
Veterans receive tailored services, including readjustment counseling and support, with access to residential programs and collaboration with the VA to house homeless veterans. Medical services, including medication-assisted treatment, health care, and education, are also available. For more information, visit the Clinical Services Page on GLRC’s website.
