SHAR Macomb

SHAR offers a comprehensive continuum of services designed to support individuals in their recovery journey from substance use and related issues. These services range from detoxification and residential treatment to outpatient programs, recovery support, prevention services, and specialty programs for men, employed persons, and those under correctional supervision. Detox and withdrawal management, available at SHAR Main, provide medically supervised care with medication-assisted detox for opiate and alcohol withdrawal, typically lasting 3-5 days.

The residential treatment programs focus on eliminating substance abuse behaviors and fostering a clean, sober lifestyle. These programs, with stays of up to 120 days, offer stabilization and therapy, especially for those with co-occurring disorders and legal challenges. Gender-specific units at both SHAR Main and SHAR Macomb ensure women receive treatment in a safe environment.

For individuals in need of recovery housing, SHAR offers transitional living options, including a 30-bed recovery house, Maybury Grand. Recovery support services, such as certified recovery coaches and peer support, provide ongoing guidance for housing, employment, and other resources. Additionally, case managers assist clients with accessing vital services like mental health care and housing.

The ECHO program helps individuals become self-sufficient by assisting with employment and other resources. Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including Vivitrol injections, helps individuals with opioid and alcohol use disorders maintain abstinence and achieve long-term recovery. SHAR Academy, a new community center, will provide a variety of support services, enhancing well-being and offering a one-stop-shop for those in need.
