Our educational programs are designed to support first-time offenders with no prior legal issues, focusing on promoting personal, social, and legal responsibility. We aim to help participants develop coping skills, understand physiological components, and explore the sociological and psychological impacts of substance use.

The FOILS (First Offender Intensive Learning Session) program educates individuals in the early stages of alcohol or drug use. Through a 3-hour group session, participants learn about the pathology, physical effects, and pharmacology of alcohol use, as well as its emotional and social consequences. The program also highlights the importance of support groups. FOILS is open to individuals aged 18 and older who are suspected of using or abusing alcohol or drugs, and is conducted once a month at outpatient clinics.

The FORCE (First Offender Referral Content and Evaluation) program is designed for first-time offenders whose legal issues stem from alcohol or drug use. This program includes an intake assessment followed by six group sessions, providing education on recognizing substance use problems, understanding the physical and psychological effects, and utilizing supports for abstinence. The program is designed to promote personal responsibility and is suitable for individuals aged 18 and older.

The FAST (First Alternative for the Super Drunk Ticket) program caters to individuals involved with Michigan’s “Super Drunk” driving offense. This year-long program includes educational classes, therapy sessions, and maintenance support, with the possibility of insurance coverage or self-payment. Each program is structured to provide intensive education and promote lasting change for participants.
