The Safety Through Education Driver Intervention Program is a 72-hour residential course certified by the State of Ohio, designed as an alternative to incarceration for individuals arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Participants can choose between single, double, or triple occupancy accommodations, with fees ranging from $310 to $600, depending on the chosen arrangement. This fee covers three nights' stay, meals (except for Thursday's dinner), educational sessions, and group discussions focused on traffic safety and substance abuse issues. It's important to note that the program operates under strict guidelines, and noncompliance may result in discharge and referral back to the court system.

Check-in occurs on Thursday evening at the Double Tree by Hilton in Westlake, Ohio.
