At the Addictions Resource Center, Inc., we provide a variety of state-certified Driver Intervention Programs (DIPs) tailored to meet the specific needs of clients facing substance-related offenses. Our offerings include both 72-hour and 48-hour programs, as well as shorter 30-hour and 13-hour non-residential options, along with an 8-hour remedial or substance use prevention program. These programs are designed to fulfill court or Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) requirements, ensuring compliance while focusing on recovery.

The 72-hour Driver Intervention Program operates under the regulations set by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, allowing individuals charged with offenses such as Operating a Vehicle Impaired (OVI), Reckless Operation (RO), or Physical Control (PC) to complete the course in lieu of jail time. This program includes a substance abuse screening and, if necessary, a more in-depth assessment. Upon completion, participants receive a report detailing their involvement and assessment results, which is promptly sent to the court. The program runs from Thursday afternoon through Sunday evening, accommodating class sizes of 10 to 35 individuals.

Similarly, our 48-hour Driver Intervention Program offers a condensed experience for clients who may be eligible for reduced charges. While maintaining the same structure and requirements as the 72-hour program, this course provides an efficient alternative for those needing to meet their legal obligations quickly. The program also includes a remedial driving course for point reduction and operates in various locations, ensuring accessibility for all clients.
