Driver Intervention Program (DIP) Overview
Welcome to the Driver Intervention Program (DIP) at Lawrence County Recovery & Wellness in Ironton, Ohio. This program is specifically designed to fulfill court-mandated requirements while helping individuals understand the effects of alcohol and other mood-altering substances, particularly in relation to driving under the influence. Our goal is to facilitate positive lifestyle changes and help participants avoid future legal issues.
The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services mandates that participants complete 72 consecutive hours of educational programming. It is crucial to attend all sessions as arriving late or leaving early will result in having to restart the program. Please be aware that there are no refunds for incomplete sessions, and participants must bear the full cost of any additional required program.
To reserve a spot in the DIP, a non-refundable deposit of $250.00 and the completed registration form are required. Enrollment is on a first-paid, first-served basis, and participants will receive confirmation upon successful registration. In case of cancellation, notice must be given at least ten business days prior to the program to avoid a rescheduling fee.
Participants should come prepared with toiletries, casual clothing for three days, and necessary medications in their original containers. Electronic devices may only be used in rooms, and any alcohol-based items are strictly prohibited. Finally, completing the entire program is essential, as any non-compliance will necessitate rescheduling in accordance with state regulations. To register, please create an account through our Patient Portal and select the Driver’s Intervention Program Registration Form.
