The 72 Hour Driver Intervention Program offered by LAPP is a state-certified, residential program designed specifically for first-time OVI/DUI offenders. Running from Thursday at 5:45 p.m. to Sunday at 5:45 p.m. on select weekends throughout the year, the program is tailored for both men and women, with gender-specific weekends available. Participants engage in an educational curriculum that covers essential topics such as Traffic Safety, Alcohol and Drug Abuse, and Addiction. In addition to education, the program provides comprehensive services, including intervention, counseling, screening, and information referrals to support individuals and their families as they navigate behavioral health challenges related to substance use.
The cost for participation in the program is currently set at $400 per weekend, though potential attendees are encouraged to verify prices, as they may change. Personal checks are not accepted; however, payment plans are available, ensuring that individuals can secure their spot only after full payment has been made. To enroll, interested participants should visit LAPP during regular business hours to complete the necessary forms. For the most accurate and updated information, including the current Options schedule, it is advisable to contact the office directly. Taking this first step can lead to significant improvements in both individual and family recovery from substance use issues.
